RE-CORDIS
(2016-2017)

'Re-cordis’ - is a process, a photographic work, postcards of a past time brought back into the future. Remembering, reinventing, constructing and -un-constructing the photographs of a family album of one's own.
These images, of a personal and intimate nature, try to remember and renew those times of childhood, which in the mind, sound and look better. Mixing the past, with the present, the reinvention, the change, the space, the distance of that time and the remoteness and closeness in personal relationships and in the images.
The family album is taken, under the gaze of one of the members of the story, who tell these photographs, to change it but never detaching from those images of the memory.
A strong connection with the emotional and the personal brings this story to light, and in an encrypted but open way it is shown before the film, the portraits captured of what at one time, a space and a place was and existed. Today, they exist again, different but still the same.
Now, behind the camera, and 20 years later, mixing the documentary of the family album, with the playful of art, I get behind the lens that closed those images, to form the new ones that are no longer new, and that are now footprints again‘ 'renewed, and different footprints'.
